Training Issue -- Tolerance Testing. Most participants reported problems reviewing match results in order to validate a current linkage model or improve a linkage model for use in future matches. This process is both more automatic and more accurate in Version 8. Dialogs for analyzing comparisons with tolerances (Tolerances) and comparisons with dependent outcomes (Outcomes) have been redesigned so that it should be easier to conduct tests and review test results. The tolerance test examples show that using a tolerance with Age would not improve the linkage model (m probability is near 0.99 with or without a tolerance) but using a tolerance with StdHour would improve the model (m probability increases from 0.81 to 0.98, reducing probability of error from 0.19 to 0.02).
